Fantasy league signups is open!
Hello everyone!
It is with delight we are opening the first ever fantasy UO league. For those of you who are familiar with fantasy leagues, the premises will come as no news. For those of you who don’t know what it means, here are some basic rules:
Budget: 20 credits.
Players in your team: 5.
Restrictions: Maximum 2 players from the same clan.
Goal: Build a lineup, within your budget, that scores as many points as possible in Fall Cup. Every player got a pricetag. It’s mainly based on stats from previous cups (so please don’t take offense).
How do a player score points?
Every kill in groupstage: +2 points.
Every kill in playoff: +3 points.
Every map won: +6 points.
Every death in groupstage or playoff: -1 point.
Every map lost: -3 points.
Every win in Upper bracket in A-playoff: +6 points.
Winning Upper bracket final in A-playoff: +12 points.
Winning Grand final in A-playoff: +24 points.
Can I change players during the competition?
Once the groupstage starts your 5-man-lineup will be locked. You will however be allowed an unlimited amount of changes in your team between groupstage and playoff.
Can I choose players that are in B-playoff?
Yes, you can. Be aware though that they don’t get same bonuses as in A-playoff.
How do I sign up?
To sign up a team go to #fantasy-signup on UO Allstars discord https://discord.gg/SufzZBb8. You can also DM SnuRk directly. Type your 5 players and total credit spent. You are allowed to use less then your budget, but obviously not more.
Deadline for signups is monday 12 september 13.00 CET.
For discussions or questions please use #fantasy-chat on discord. I am however going to be very clear about one thing. Fantasy is made to have a bit of extra fun during the cups. We won’t tolerate any kind of excessive flaming towards other players. Jokes and banter are of course allowed, just feel the room.
We see this fantasy league as a pilot project and hopefully we can develop it over time. But everything needs to start somewhere. So we hope you will enjoy, and feel free to DM me or any other admins with questions or feedback.
